Admissions Process

We welcome you to come by and visit our program. If you call 785-864-2660 or email us at indigenous@ku.edu that you are coming, we can arrange for you to meet with students and a faculty member.

To apply to the Master's Global Indigenous Nations Studies Program, you will need to:

1. Complete an Application Form. We would like to know on Page 3 of the Application your preferred choice of Area of Concentration. The University requires that all applications be completed and submitted on-line. To access the Application Form, you first have to create an account. 2. Send a sample of your academic writing, a 2-3 page Personal Statement, and your Resume or Vita to the Indigenous Nations Studies office.
3. Ensure that institutions and individuals have sent the following to the Indigenous Nations Studies office:
   • Official transcripts from all universities and colleges attended
   • Graduate Record Exam (GRE) scores
   • Three (3) letters of recommendation
